In-Home Lessons with Chinook School of Music
In-home lessons are a convenient choice for many families.
We are pleased to service the central SW quadrant of the city for in-home lessons as seen on our map below. If your home is just outside of our service area, please let us know as we may be able to accommodate you.
Preparing Your Space for In-Home Lessons
Designate a quiet space in your home that is free from distractions such as pets, siblings, television, media and noise.
Families are asked to provide a well-ventilated room for lessons to take place in where possible.
A parent or adult must be present in the household at all times.
Seating for both the teacher and the student is required. For instruments such as guitar, ukulele, bass or cello, chairs without arms are optimal for instrument positioning.
For piano & voice lessons: A suitable piano or keyboard must be available in the space. Be sure that instruments are well-maintained and appropriate for lessons. Need a piano tuner? Email us. Read an article about setting up your child for success in piano lessons.
For all other instruments: Students are required to have their own instruments. Instrument rental information can be obtained from our administration team. Email us.
